Surrey County Council propose to make the Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of: a) Mill Road (B290), Tadworth that extends from its junction with Dorking Road (B2032), for a distance of 50m; vehicular traffic will be diverted via Dorking Rod and Brighton Road. b) New Road (B290), Tadworth that extends from its junction with Dorking Road (B2032), for a distance of 50m; vehicular traffic will be diverted via Dorking Road, Chequers Lane, Walton Street and Mere Road. c) Chapel Road (D1116), Tadworth that extends from its junction with Dorking Road (B2032), to the north-eastern property boundary of “The Lamp House”; vehicular traffic will be diverted via Dorking Road and New Road.

This Temporary Traffic Order is required to enable HV diversion and/or maintenance works on behalf of Freedom Group. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 5pm, within 4 weeks of the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 25 July 2020. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians, cyclists, equestrians, emergency vehicles, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times.
